Russia's state tax agency has confirmed that Russian businesses are applying for crypto mining licenses, with 150 applications submitted so far. The head of the Federal Tax Service, Daniel Egorov, said the applications were all filed after Nov. Registrants must provide the Federal Tax Agency with data on the crypto assets they mine, crypto wallet addresses and other identifiers. Private miners who consume less than 6,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity per month are exempt from registration.
