Feral feline friend is out of the carrier and recovering well.. ate a bit and didn’t get sick so will have a full meal later today and be released back outside either tonight or tomorrow depending on weather. He’s not well pleased with me as obviously it’s my fault he’s been neutered but I’m sure he’ll forgive me after a nice tin of wet food

Just got here and I’m loving your casts. Will be checking in as I’m working my way thru my post baby recovery. I used to do dance (jazz and modern) and yoga, and I’m a licensed massage therapist and so I’m very choosy about fitness vids as a lot of people don’t know their shit but think they do. You have it down!

Today I finally, after months of housing him in our main bath, caught our feral feline friend and got him to the vet for shots, neuter, and a check over on his long term leg injury. My goal was to get him patched up and re-released before the new baby arrives and it looks like that will happen. After the new baby is settled we can focus on TNR for the other 7-10 community cats that feed at our porch. They’re fabulous to have around, but we want them to live long healthy lives.

I’ve been down sick for a couple days.. still recovering, but I managed to finish up the mala I was working on and get it mailed off to it’s new home. Treading water between trying to recover from this crud and being in the last few weeks of this pregnancy… so just trying to keep up with basic childcare and housework, but managing to stay afloat. Now if I can just manage to make another 100 this week so I can pay for a few things.

I worked food service in the US for nearly 20 yrs. Most states there pay their servers and other “tipped” employees the federal minimum tipped wage which is 2.13 per hour. All your taxes come out of that. You also have to tip out other staff from your earnings (busboys, hosts, bartenders) based on your total sales etc.. because of this I never tip less than 20% unless I know the state has imposed a higher minimum wage for tipped employees (California and Nevada for instance both have a higher minimum wage) and then I would tip 15% minimum. If im a regular somewhere or if the service is very good I add to that minimum.

Such an important thing to discuss. Reproductive options and fertility choices that we aren’t on a clock for. I am currently incubating baby #6. But I am done done. But I have so many CFBC friends who have thought about this route in case they do change their mind later. If it weren’t so hard to get good information AND if it weren’t so cost prohibitive I think a lot of women in their 20s and early 30s would opt to do this while they establish themselves in a life they feel comfortable bringing a child into. And if they don’t ever utilize it? Well at least they were afforded the option.

This is how I feel when I have a chance to make my 📿 Malas. Each time they’re slightly better, both in how they’re actually crafted and in how they look aesthetically. I’m better able to customize them to each individual person. It’s a creative venture that I’ll always be able to improve at.
