One of my goals for 2024 is to run a sub 5 minute mile. Does anyone have a training program they would recommend? Track workouts preferred.

Ooh that’s gonna be a fun challenge. I would do my workouts in different distance intervals. Start with 1600m at around 5:20 pace. Give yourself a few minutes of rest and then do two 5:10 pace 1000m runs. Then do four 5:00 pace 600m. Then finish off with some 100m sprints.

This was definitely one of the hardest and best workouts my track coach used to make us do. Was able to run 4:52 and I think it’s because of this workout.
