Some thoughts on each.. 1. @farcaster default (Vite) This is the default options from the Farcaster docs. Only bare minimum setup, incl. essential Frame SDKs, built on Vite with Viem, Wagmi, TanStack query. No unnecessary or opinionated configs, web or styling frameworks. Great to learn about the essentials and ship a basic MiniApp. Will require more work and customization if you're planning to build more complex MiniApps.

2. @base MiniKit @onchainkit Fully featured starter kit built on popular web standards, Nextjs (v14 - not latest), Tailwind, Viem, Wagmi, TanStack query. Integrates seamlessly with Base's OnchainKit that can be further customized with Coinbase Developer Platform (e.g. Agents). A great option if you want all the battle-tested patterns, components, and custom Coinbase Wallet integrations from OnchainKit, targeted for MiniApps. Comes with a nice, clean UI and all the plumbing for notifications, Redis, auth, etc.

Conclusion.. For learning purposes, start with Farcaster default Vite app to focus on fundamentals For shipping your first MiniApp, I'd lean to MiniKit as it has best balance of battle-tested components and features without too much unnecessary configs.

shameless plug: I'm maintaining a Next.js viem, wagmi, tanstack, daimo pay, Supabase repository here: https://github.com/hellno/vibes-engineering-mini-app-template I'm starting to customize it more for my centralized backend to work well with vibes.engineering (v0 for crypto mini apps), but unused components can be removed quickly if not needed

looks interesting! starting with the defaults is a smart move, but yeah, customization will be key for more complex features. how do you find the performance with the basic setup?
