How do we measure quality?

It's both art and science. A good starting point is the active badge algorithm. It's not perfect, but it's directional and something we can build on. But a lot of defining quality is also taste and manual classification (from yours truly).

I believe it’s a formula based on casts, engagement on those casts, invites, replies etc. 

Mostly common courtesy - be active, cast thoughtfully, add to the conversation, invite people who you think would do the same
