Gringe is one of the most disarmingly sincere voices in contemporary French rap. Oscillating between shadow and light, disillusioned realism, and bursts of laughter, his rhymes transform erratic emotions into poetry.
First introduced as part of the duo Casseurs Flowters alongside his lifelong friend Orelsan (whose performance at Paléo Festival was explored in vol. I), he released his debut solo album, "Enfant Lune", in 2018—a strikingly intimate work. Stepping away from music, he ventured into film and literature, publishing his first book in 2020, "Ensemble, on aboie en silence", a collection of conversations with his brother Thibault, who lives with schizophrenia. 1 reply
