This is what I have achieved so far in the cold UK! The bananas are wrapped in situ through the winter, and most of the other plants are protected with mulch if needed. The super tender plants are brought into the polytunnel. This photo was from September 2023. What are you growing?!

I have seen my friends neighbour grow banana plants in Leicester, but you seem to have taken it to a new level 🫡

Thanks! If you give them a bit of extra love to keep the height (as they will turn to mush when frozen) by wrapping them in winter, they reward you with faster growth in the next year. Hassle, but well worth it!
