Multiple things tbh 1. It’s the 3rd time I’ve seen the same notification in my priority list in the past few days 2. While i believe this account is “real” it just screams “Farcaster is exit liquidity” with the contract address + ticker in bio and the low effort shill posting (see photo) 3. This current mechanism more or less amounts to “look at this high profile person who will come here, cast for 3 days at best, and then the account will go dark” when I’d rather it surface hidden gems like people who my friends/KOLs have engaged with and they user has met some sort of activity criteria over the past few weeks (I know this is a harder problem to solve)

thanks taking the time to write it up! 1. will be fixed, the double send yesterday was an obvious bug 2. we don’t plan to do any curation on this notification, purely comes from the momentum in people that you follow 3. happy to tweak the algo if you’re open to sharing yours

Sure, I’d effectively have a v high threshold signal for the notification for brand new accounts (let’s say 100+ high signal follows in a certain amount of time high which is prob close to what you currently have- so whatever that threshold is I’d double it bc false positives are worse than potentially missing folks for now imo) and then scale the threshold down based on the user’s history over time. If they have casted consistently or with high quality engagement for a sustained period like a week then their notification threshold should be lower than a day 1 new account. If they’re a daily active “good caster” (which i know you have good scoring for already) for like a month then I’d love to see this notification appear in conjunction with them having a “moment” like an uncharacteristically trending cast. This will help with spaced repetition driven follows too. I know this is balanced with creating a “magic moment” for new high value targets as well tho
