if engineering is becoming an easily accessible resource through AI along with design elements, then the only things that are going to guarantee success are distribution power, accuracy and creativity.

do people care about ownership or do they really care about exposure to these new pricing mechanisms?

and to do these things we probably need to find talented people and pay them :)

no, I'm suggesting that human behavior follows fairly predictable patterns, and those who overlook the economic foundations of DAOs often devise flawed solutions for misplaced problems. blockchains are inherently financial, and token weighted voting leads to many of the outcomes we’ve witnessed. we should focus on tackling genuine challenges like effective governance and new ways to pay out grants. history shows most revolutions, reorganizations, or bureaucracies are designed to entrench or expand control, though people rarely see it for what it is.

economics is very much about human behavior. so yes democracies are all about economics. your brain is hardwired for this. everything is.

i respectfully disagree. none of this has to do with structure but economics. people left for a couple of reasons: 1) nouns is inherently political. the high politics pushes a lot of people away. to pass a prop you need both the soft and hard skills to pass one. that is generally rare and leads to high competition 2) people come to crypto for money, if there is no opportunity to make money (or they lose a lot, they leave). many of the first fork participants left because nouns is generally a capital sink for large holders and it's very expensive to impose your ideas if most of the community is not aligned with you 3) tragedy of the commons (which is a problem for all public resources). people tend to do whats best for them at the expense of everyone else.

the FC round is a little different. maybe the solution to mandated rounds like that is to run them w/ teams that can do milestone based payments

the same could be said for funding in any domain. most things don't work, especially bold ideas. but the ones that do make up for the losses. if people don't like risk they shouldn't be part of an organization that funds things OR people should try to build something themselves to understand :) (hint: they won't / can't)

I appreciate people's efforts to ensure sustainability for Nouns and improve the DAO's operations. However, I want to offer a word of caution: piling on bureaucracy could alienate existing members and discourage talented individuals with the skills we’re after from joining us. Additionally imposing below market or regionally focused comp will also repel talent. Nouns operates like a marketplace. We’ve got capital to offer, but we’re up against other opportunities vying for the attention of the world’s best builders. Choose wisely?
