do you anticipate the cost to mint/collect to gradually trend to a few cents?

I suspect the poster's social graph will be a significant variable here. 

For the average user it's likely prices will trend towards zero. (and reliant on secondary sales fees) The more followers you have the easier it becomes to set the price.

hmm ya, could definitely see that playing out. And could see folks setting most their items as free open editions, but then setting “higher” prices for specific pieces/moments.
