One of the interesting angles from the BTC conference in Abu Dhabi this week was the remarks from Trump’s inner circle. Everyone’s seen Eric Trump’s statement that BTC will hit $1 million. But also interesting was a comment by Paul Manafort, who said BTC holders will be “celebrating much higher [than $100,000] very soon I think.” Steve Witkoff, another Trump confidante, also made some bullish comments.

I think it would be a mistake for traders to dismiss these remarks as hype. These are some of Trump’s closest advisors. It’s probably safe to say they’re intimately familiar with his thinking and plans.

These comments should be seen as signposts. They are the latest in a string of similar ones from people close to Trump, going back to the campaign during the summer. With BTC at 100k, the market has obviously started to catch on, but I think this remains far from priced in.
