This hit very hard for me.

My experience is that people who are able to contribute are already passionate about their contribution. It’s how their contributions are received that could jeopardize their passion

Agree, but sometimes the audience doesn’t want the show that WE are passionate about putting on for them

This can be a tough pill, but if we focus on what we can contribute that they enjoy, all the sudden things can get pretty interesting
