swimming in bioluminescent ocean was one of the most surreal and beautiful experiences I've ever had

with a new moon, the only light source was emanating from the stars above

swiping your hands and feet around in the water ignites hundreds of tiny blue shimmers of light. you can paint with light while weightlessly floating

it would make the most hardened adult revert back to child like wonder in seconds

walking across the sand and watching it shimmer across the sand like lightning is also incredible 

i got to experience bioluminescence for the first time ever a couple months ago and there’s literally only one way to describe it — magical
