Whether we like it or not, @zora and @rodeodotclub are redefining cryptoart. They may be making each sale smaller, but its in the process of making art more crypto-native, with a more fluid market for every artwork. Its taking me a while to appreciate this, mostly because they made such dramatic and sudden changes to their minting prices and procedures. What are your feelings on this?

I feel it's stepping away from being crypto-native due to the focus on traditional methods of interaction to increase their user base. Not much speaks to the ideals of crypto besides collect how you want, but that can be replicated literally anywhere. Still not dismissing what they are doing but highly skeptical.

💯 It seems to be finding a way to commodify consumption of content rather than focusing on art. I guess I'm not opposed to them capturing some of the funds from larger platforms like Instagram, but it doesn't reflect the broader values of cryptoart.
