Artists are the side quest of web3.
And yeah, I do strongly belive this.
Joined my crypto journey in January 2021, lost my job because of the pandemic, and saw an opportunity to finally make some $ with what I’ve always called “digital art”
Not too much time passed for me to understand what this place really wants.
I mean don’t get me wrong, art is cool, I’m an artist, I love art, and we are definitely the colorful part of it all.
But still: not as important as builders.
So I started building.
And I’ve built something different, unique, focused on my artistic journey, and correctly delivering my brand identity in a playful and engaging way.
But my mind is still conflicted..
Will it be enough?
Will I be the builder/artist shifting this art stigma?
Will I be the change? 5 replies

I've been in digital marketing, content creation, using digital methods for art distribution (photography back in the day, but also worked in copy writing and more) for well over a decade and have seen the shifts and changes in opportunities over time.
Below is an image of me back in teh Google Plus days lol
The easiest attention time was early Facebook. Discovery was insane. But the pipelines for monetization weren't really there. People were still figuring out how to handle digital abundance.
I think that it has always been difficult. And that there isn't a set formula to success, just like with trading, it's going to be trial and error, with a lot of experimentation, cost, and work, with no guarantees.
I know artists who made it big on Tumblr, on Instagram, etc, and it can seem very random, and unpredictable.
From my view, the only thing that one can guarantee is that if you keep moving forward, you keep building.
I would say that trying to make one's living solely on art alone is very hard 1 reply
