The question is simple. Do you think Base should make a token?

The argument has always been that Coinbase wouldn’t want to take on that regulatory burden. 

But with Trump launching a fucking memecoin, the game has kinda changed.

I’m conflicted. Part of what makes Base appealing is the fact that it doesn’t have a native token. It’s easier for newbies to understand (imo). 

But, I know a Base token would ignite a ton of additional activity on the network and probably be a big net positive.

Re: what's easier for newbies... Explaining "you can have ETH on ETH or BASE" is not an easy convo. Not crazy about them creating their own token, tho

That conversation wouldn’t change though.

Nothing would change except the addition of a base token for governance/rewards/liqudiry.
