But it didn’t feel right because it wasn’t my calling.

The “No North Star” meme is ridiculous. Sure, there are plenty of implementation details to debate and figure out, but the idea that Ethereum hasn’t gone in a relatively coherent direction over the past decade is kinda wild. We just fixed the most visibly broken things

Enterprise bitcoin custody is still early. @saylor is right—entrusting billions in bitcoin to a CEO's single-signature wallet would be incredibly stupid for many reasons. But placing coins into the hands of any single custodian is risky too.

Memecoins are actually good for DeFi because it incentivize users to go onchain for crypto activity as early as possible instead of just doing everything on CEXs. Definitely not on my bingo card on how we accelerate DeFi adoption, but all road leads to DeFi and onchain.

a few thoughts on why i voted FOR nouns DUNA prop: - the art and code remain CC0/open source, making nouns permissionless forever - members remain anon with explicit legally binding voting rights - real minority protection with no arbitrage anymore - potential thousands of new members making nouns decision making more decentralized - potential billions in the treasury to fund hundreds of new projects - potentially a more clear mandate for nouns to make a positive impact in the world - legal protection for members - getting funded will require KYC, increasing accountability the only thing i don't like is to stop funding people in sanctioned nations, but eventually, there might be a solution for good actors in those countries still trying to figure out what all this means for nouns amigos and what we should do next

during our /base-my Hack Day event, we onboarded 16 attendees onchain by helping them set up their @coinbasewallet and gifted them basenames how? - we sent $0.50 to each of them to claim their basename - thanks to the low cost of basenames and low gas fees on @base, $0.50 was more than enough, with extra to spare - we also ran a raffle, gifting 3x 20 USDC and 3x 5 USDC to 6 winners in total, only those with a basename could participate onboarding users onchain was so quick and easy on base 💙
