Didn't know that these circles were called kebab menu. In Germany a Kebab is meat with salat in a dough roll! :)

they're called kebab menus bc of "shish kebab" aka cubes of meat and/or vegetables on a skewer! the three little dots look like the cubes of meat lol the menu icon that is 3 stacked lines is called a hamburger menu bc it looks like the layers of a 🍔
