The same could have been said for 'mobile' - it's a new medium that can be applied to everything. Definitely a difference in priorities between web3 zealots and newcomers. But if you separate out fundamental concepts like ownership, then what's the point?

Agreed with the premise that 'web3' may be the wrong term, and instead needs something closer to 'mobile.' I tried promoting I think 'Decentralized Ledger Technology' to banks in 2014, but 'Distributed Ledger Technology' ended up winning.

I think the focus should be on building net-better experiences as a result of native capabilities (like Uber did with GPS or IG did with the camera). Right now, we are in the state of building mobile apps wo showing the value prop of why mobile?
