The downfall of Polygon needs to be studied closely. 

They had everything, exploding TVL, great hype with fast and cheap trx, first to lauch zkEVM and yet their dominance is down only.

Way too early to count them out in my opinion, reason, gut feeling (not bags).

True, Polymarket is turning out to be the biggest platform coming out from this space, thanks to the election. I wont be surprise if they choose to lauch their own chain.

Not sure about Polygon business model but lack of BD would be my first guess. Whats the point of building if you cant sell. Look at Base, perfect example of BD execution.

They still have polymarket. What do you think happened?

My take: They were really one of the few low cost options for a long time. I don’t think people truly loved it. Then their ZK chain was almost as bad as mainnet for gas when I tried it so DOA. And then the EVM space got blobbed brining lots of competition for cheap EVM block space.
