The vast majority of people with power badges didn't know me before Farcaster. If you're interesting and persistent, people will find you. And you'll end up with a badge.

People will always make assumptions in the absence of facts. I think a good response to this is to not have a black box regarding what is or what does not make you a power user. What is measured is managed and people can’t take their own responsibility instead of relying on rumours or confabulation. Confirmation bias has a strong hold on social media users.
