Q: if you get the spam label and your replies are getting sorted into the “Show More Replies” bucket, is it impossible to get badge? Trying to help friends who use translators and may have been marked as spam because of their ChatGPT like English.

Don’t mean to whine but not as easy as you say! Gaining visibility is getting harder because lots of high ranking users have priority mood on. But I agree. Persistence goes a long way! Cant have it all overnight you should work for it and earn it.

People will always make assumptions in the absence of facts. I think a good response to this is to not have a black box regarding what is or what does not make you a power user. What is measured is managed and people can’t take their own responsibility instead of relying on rumours or confabulation. Confirmation bias has a strong hold on social media users.

I agree BUT that doesn't mean there aren't some issues with the current system. 1. It's a tough pill for people to swallow when they see accounts like this with a badge and they're out here actually engaging: https://warpcast.com/domiderdoner 2. Spam label visibility. It's hard to know when someone you engage with is on the spam list bc they just show up in your feed business as usual. Anyone in Show More is not someone you follow and so harder to vouch for. It'd be great to see a label in the feed.

Totally agreed with you. Some months ago, I experienced 'feeling lost' 'zero engagement' and I remember to DM @yonfrula about it and he gave one one of the most valuable advices so far. It helps boost me up and never giver up on myself. Starting making friends and voila. Happy to be a part of Farcaster and just one thing: never give up on yourself! 💜

Imo there needs to be an updated guide to getting a badge and knowing what to focus on. Current guide is very outdated and not accurate anymore.

I don't know dan or v or anyone before farcaster. Not a founder of any project. Only famous in my country. Got my badge at 400 followers with 500k+ FID. Just being active on the TL and engaging with ppl. It's not that easy to get it but it's not that hard either.

As someone that join less than 2 months ago and just got a batch, it was fun to grow, contribute to farcaster, meet new friends and cast better content. My cast where less visible without a batch but I still cut thru it on channels that where of my interest. For me replies was my best way to interact tho
