I got some weird request during my job pre-interview chat. If i would work there - i wouldn't be allowed to do ANY freelance work. Sounds controlling and unreasonable. What do you think?

Is the compensation, prestige, upside, etc. "so good it wouldn't matter"?

That's what i asked. In the end they said i was unfortunately 'too senior and too expensive' for the position :) That's what i thought would happen.
