After working on a documentary, I have much more empathy for creative decisions on them, similar to more empathy after working on a consumer application

Questions like why didn't this topic/scene get included? Trying to fit *years* of filming into ~90 min is inevitably going to have many scenes cut out, audience testing resulted in confusion / not resonating, didn't add much to storyline, etc 

Similar to why don't you add this feature? Need to keep the product simple, user feedback resulted in confusion, doesn't move the needle, etc

You know I watched the film. And it felt organic with a good flow. The transitions between the topics and scenes was natural. In cases when the narrative switched between different periods, I didn’t feel things were out of place or confusing. This felt like a very human experience. I love the film. Epic editing.
