skateboarding

Requesting some suggestions … I have not owned a skateboard in decades but am considering purchasing a longboard for exercise and recreation, for use mostly on paved walking/biking trails and residential streets around the neighborhood. What make/model should I look at?

Details: 6-foot-1, 270 lbs, size 13 shoes, male, born in the 1980s, casual skateboarder in my youth but no recent board sports. I live in an area where temps often reach into the 90s and 100s F.

you should get a "cruiser board" instead of a longboard so you its smaller

lighter. can pop it up into your hand. feels like a normal board. looks way cooler. can maybe even eventually learn a trick. could eventually learn to ollie. is an investment in your life for a fun way to exercise

Thanks for the input. Why a shorter cruiser? I don’t expect to need something very maneuverable and don’t plan to carry it around much either, if that makes a difference. Mostly riding in a relatively straight line for a few miles at a time, with an occasional 90 degree turn of a street corner.
