sure, never looked at managed aws pricing, but I'm traumatized from managing grafana/Kapacitor/influxdb and ELK stacks in the past so not really interested

We're not paying datadog THAT much. I've worked at a company giving them millions of dollars a year though and that probably should have been reevaluated

You know how much cheaper it is to run your own Prometheus (even with managed AWS service)?
