i like that it’s sticking to daredevil vs kingpin and the tension is really about when, not if, they’ll regress to their violent selves currently quite disappointed in the initial fight scenes that use more cgi vs the previous up close camera work / brutal hand to hand combat that made it daredevil so thrilling

Ughhh I knowwww, the scene of him spidermanning through the rooftops trigger a hate for cgi I didn’t know was in me. I usually don’t mind bad cgi but you are spot on, this was not needed, especially when you had other ways to do action that was already successful. I have to say, I’m also sad at how much similarities there are with irl right now.

daredevil excelled with action in s1/2 because it wasn’t heavily reliant on cgi and framed the hand to hand combat well. that initial fight scene was so obfuscated by smoke, flashing lights, darkness, and cgi that it just felt any other mediocre marvel action scene. not what i want or expect from a show that shined because it stayed away from that. personally, i like that it’s very similar to current times. it’s a bit more commentary on everything vs the usual blandness that is marvel
