Saw this over at /lotr  @designheretic  gifted 10 warps to the first person to answer a trivia type question correctly. Maybe we could do this once a month here and take turns asking a question?

Why did Leto II preferred to have women as his elite armed force?

2. If I had to guess, it’s either to do with Leto II’s belief that an all female force is less likely to abuse his subjects (he saw armed men of authority as more likely to be predatory)—or with Herbert’s (sadly frequent) homophobic authorial intrusions (which he usually targeted at men)
