It only took 8 episodes but finally, Daredevil seems to have found its form. This and episode 5 are my favorites.

this is the daredevil i missed. it’s broody, dark, tense, gritty, and fast-paced without feeling rushed. last episode felt so rushed and muse really was just a side character that i wish they developed more. my favorite part so far is that they introduced that bb has a pseudo that she publishes under. the examination of these “masks” that characters wear is really interesting. side note: i also love how bb has her own camera angles/pov that’s very distinctive from the show yet isn’t disjointed or jarring.

I really like the BB report! I also disliked the muse episode, and I’m usually super forgiving with these shows but not only did it feel rushed, it looked odd and cheap. The scene with muse and Heather had a lot of camera continuity issues and there’s even a time where the dialogue does not match her lips movement. I like the robbery episode too, it was a nice Matt episode and I saw it as a side quest.

the bottle episode was amazing, probably one of the best marvel episodes ever. it was also a nice way to insert daredevil into the marvel universe. everything about muse feels forced. also if you’ve killed 60+ people, painted with their blood, and you get caught by a child. i just don’t buy it, even if white tiger did all the work. i do wonder why matt took the bullet for fisk. i feel like it’s well known that fisk’s suits are usually made with kevlar or a chainmail like weave to protect against projectiles. i think if you get muse + heather out and made it more about matt representing difficult cases + fisk trying to navigate city politics it would’ve been an overall better show

+1 to everything you said. My thought about Matt taking the bullet is that he did it because that’s who he is, he didn’t think about it just did it because at the end of the day he is Daredevil and believes that being Daredevil is good - the martyr in him.
