@jessepollak what do you think about privacy for transactions? Is this a consideration for this at base?

Transparently, I don’t think people will want to come as onchain when they realise that every tx that happens is onchain and public. 

Aztecs doing some cool stuff here and it’ll be interesting to see how it translates to other L2s

I would say it is best transactions are open I think the lack of censorship of transactions is what makes the blockchain trusted and better than traditional means of transaction if this was the case then being able to track the bybit hacker would be 10x more difficult in my opinion.

Yh I guess for that to occur then you would need some sort of verification method so the need to know authorities would know why to spoof your transaction but this is still subject to manipulation from bad actors and the fed to an extent.

I think its that middleground though right. If people had their banking onchain and all their tx were public then thats not good.

But on the otherhand, governements and public funding should all be public
