A pet peeve of mine is when someone adept at a skill gets upset when they're told they are "talented."

"I-It's not talent! I-It's hard work!"

Please, shut up and take the compliment. You can be talented and hard working. Calm down.

Acknowledging talent doesn't diminish hard work. Embrace both aspects. Talent is a gift; hard work is a choice. Keep excelling!
