most of the countries you generalized as "west" are, indeed, working democracies

Everyone who speaks in geopolitical arena refers to "West" as the American, Canadian, European, and Oceanic allying countries (obviously by European alliance I also refer to mostly EU / NATO / WE / NE countries)
