there are literally no legal restrictions on crypto in russia source: i live in moscow fulltime and literally use bitcoin to purchase my morning coffee daily

You just made these payments illegally, since cryptocurrency in Russia is prohibited as a means of payment, but not prohibited as a form of property.

I am not a judge and cant classify whether you are a criminal or not. But information on the Internet suggests that paying for goods and services using cryptocurrency is not legal in Russia. You said there are no legal restrictions in Russia-this isnt true, they exist. But this is not a complete ban. Just to clarify
