I think my odds are good. I feel like if immortality is gonna be the next hip thing, there should be an option to terminate my life ethically. I'd like to live long enough to see the fruits of my labor, but living forever would get boring eventually.

I'm not too concerned about the effects on our planet. If we can pull off immortality, then we can pull off colonizing other planets. I just know for myself that I'm someone who gets bored very easily. Maybe I'll end up liking immortality. Regardless, it would be nice to have an "opt out" feature just in case.
