exactly, you're multiplying the elements by a lot

you're trying to explain tens of thousand of sightings and a mountain of evidence and reports of thousands of credible people (including two us presidents) by tens of thousand of different smaller explanations

not multiplying elements would be one obvious explanation

You might be confusing Occam's Razor with something else. In a nutshell, it means "simplest explanation is most often the correct one / don't multiply elements without necessity".
