what strength do you find in his words?

pushing yourself over the pain limit to become virtually disabled due to injuries?

I’m with this take.

I read his book and it seems like he has permanent, painful injuries from how hard he has pushed himself recreationally.

I’m not about it.

one is going over limita

another message is popularizing self-mutilation

two different things

i'd rather listen to the person who got first place in ultramarathon

than to listen to a person that ran through all this pain to only finish not even in top-10 (and get disability for life)

His message, IMO,
is that we’re all capable of much more than we think we are and that too often we give up before finding out our true limits.
