gm, if you don't know the story behind 10k steps, you're in for a treat japanese scientists hooked up step counters to japanese office workers because japenese office workers were healthier than other countries they got 8k steps on average usa heart doctors looked at this data and said us can do better and added 2k

yes 10k is arbitrary but the more steps you walk the lower your risk of all-cause mortality https://academic.oup.com/eurjpc/article/30/18/1975/7226309

ser can you read the research you cite, please? > over the cut-off point of 3867 steps/day for all-cause mortality and only 2337 steps for CV mortality
