"If you're really going to try to figure out how to be happy in this world where everybody dies eventually... that project entails, at bottom, self-transcendence; it entails waking up from the dream of narcissism and self-concern" Sam Harris I read this each morning to remind myself to stay focused on what's important

That's such an excellent mantra! It's how I try to live each day as well, though of course it's a struggle (but I think that's the point of life in a way). Really happy to see you here and looking forward to chatting more about mindfulness :) I assume you use the waking up app??

Thank you for the kind words. I do use the Waking Up app which I've found to be invaluable. So far I've gone though Sam's stuff and dabbled in headlessness. There's so much in there, and I think I probably need to take more time in digesting each session. Look forward to chatting!

Amazing! Glad to find someone else who uses it π Oh yeah, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, there are so many series now. I remember when there were just a couple haha. I recommend journalling afterwards if you havenβt tried that before, it really helps with digestion. Also, happy to suggest more series π«‘

Agree with the journaling. It took me a while to get started with it but it has made a big difference. Happy to hear any suggestions you have as far as series!

Amazing! I actually wrote a full newsletter on the power of writing if you're interested, elaborating on Huberman's podcast: https://wanderloots.com/recalibrating-27 Is there an aspect of mindfulness you'd like to work on? I can suggest a series based on that. I loved: Stoic Path Stages of Awakening Direct Approach

Wow, you've really put some time and care into your site. I'll take some time and look through it! Those 3 recommendations are very helpful. I'm going to continue a bit with the headlessness sessions and then go right into your suggestions. Thanks!
