Plenty of open source technology and CCO stuff to remix Would love to see more there to start but yeah you gotta be aware of the IP and platform issues

that's true! I guess i'm always thinking from the perspective of an artist, who often have issues with people taking things whether its CC0 or not haha have been thinking a lot about this and will have more to share when i get a chance to write it up

it can be, provided there's attribution given or that the person's brand/style is large enough to be recognized without the attribution another "remix" issue is the training of ai models without permission not saying remixing is bad, totally agree re: patronage and distribution, but the context has an impact

Agreed. There's certainly nuance around this but my point stands remix more

how do you remix with proper value flow back to the original creator/builder/artist? a discussion i've been having a lot with many people, especially writers curious to hear how you think it should work

There's a lot of nuance here. It's very different for existing IP/work relative to net new work. If you're starting with net new work then I think enshrining it onchain can be very valuable as a starting point for artists/creators to build on top of it or encourage others to. Distribution is undervalued and underleveraged by most artists/creators today. Artists need a mechanism to capture value if their awareness and brand grows. I have a lot of thoughts here and I'll try to share more soon

cool, looking forward to it! Completely agree with enshrining onchain, but the existing infra/mechanisms has been clunky and often feels like building on sand with the way the contracts are altered. I'm hoping the ERC20 meta helps standardize this more
