Thanks!! 🙏🏻 It’s a static site hosting service I’m working on with @polluterofminds that uses IPFS and Base! https://warpcast.com/stevedylandev.eth/0x514346db

Oh that’s so interesting! So it could be effectively a replacement for vercel or netlify for static sites?

Yup exactly! Goal is to be a bit simpler than services that use git and pipelines while also providing a more open garden approach to website hosting. The version history of each site is recorded onchain, and since IPFS is open it allows users to take that data somewhere else if they wanted to, or access it through an IPFS node or gateway!

Interesting! This sounds like what I was looking for months ago 👀 Does it cost gas/fees for each build then? Will keep thinking on it for some more questions, but might consider shifting one or two of my sites

Would love you have you try it out! Simple as drag and drop your build folder of HTML CSS and JS into the uploader; just added custom domains yesterday 💪 At the moment all of the crypto is abstracted, with the goal of making it more approachable to anyone. Currently we have a single wallet that handles gas behind the scenes. It’s about $0.10 to launch a site and like $0.001 to update it thanks to Base. What’s nice is we have the ability to transfer the ownership of the contracts to a given address, so if the demand arises we’ll add an “advance mode” where you can own it and pay for the gas yourself if you wish! Behind the scenes we’re using ipcm.dev as our contracts

Interesting, that makes sense, and so cheap too! I really like the versioning control element, that was a big issue I was running into, that blockchain seemed to be the obvious solution for I’m currently using netlify & 11ty, so this would effectively combine the two?

Yes absolutely! I believe @polluterofminds used to use 11ty quite a bit and can confirm

Yep! We’ll have a tutorial for 11ty soon but it should work out of the box.
