hmm but selling blockspace doesn't necessarily have to be tied to the chain itself? I.e., buying an ENS on L1 enables functionality & perks (value) that get distributed to the L2, with incredibly tiny charges back to the L1

as bankless puts it, "the business of blockchains is selling blockspace" -- but the L3 blockspace is free. so it needs a new business model to pay for network costs. lol maybe they'll tax casino winnings
