Hey, I'm Steen! I'm from NYC and shoot liminal environments with a film aesthetic. I play with physical and temporal scale to tell larger-than-life stories that exist outside of a single moment. I produce all my work in hi-res 16:9 for digital screens, and love how the format lends itself to my subject matter.

Nice to meet you! Beautiful shots, love the dedication to landscape aspect ratio. I do most of my timelapses as landscape and it can be a struggle for socials, so it’s impressive to see ✨

Likewise Callum! Oops, I feel dumb now, but I should've said 16:9/9:16 9:16 might actually be more fun. The narrow aspect can be thought of as a bar. Since vertical bars appear narrower than horizonal bars of the same "thickness", 9:16 appears super tall, which makes for tough but rewarding compositions

Oh no need to feel dumb at all! That makes sense to me. It gives an extra cinematic effect to the images 😊 I usually try to maximize my frame because I’m shooting things like the Milky Way, always a tough decision for me to go landscape or vertical (since I post the timelapses on YouTube)
