How will replies work from non-members with the new channel model? 1. Only members can create a new cast in a channel 2. Anyone can reply to a cast in a channel 3. On Warpcast, member replies will appear "above the fold" and non-members will be below the fold in "Show more replies" 4. However, if the original cast author likes or replies a cast from a non-member—or a channel mod likes or replies—the cast will appear above the fold. 5. This balances the membership model for channels with the ability for discovering new people, highlighting their reply and potentially inviting them to the channel. 6. Since you can have up to 10 moderators in a channel, including helpful bots, we expect that people will build bots that help surface interesting replies for non-members (and possibly even auto-invite them). Developers will get creative. 7. Ultimately, your channel, your rules.

Solid starting point here, thanks for clarifying. For point 6 we’re building a tool for this. Channel owners can reach out to @intori or me for automated surfacing and inviting of member candidates

Oh that sounds really interesting! So you can pre set conditions that would make someone eligible to be automatically invited?

That's the plan! Keep it simple with defaults but as we learn more about what is available through channels v2 we hope to give more controls to channel owners and mods
