my thinking here is token gated experiences, yes

token gated content, not really. but when participation in a cool experience is a tokenholder-specific action then you get something interesting

primitive example: anyone can !attack north but holders of the south nft get a boost on their attacks

I think this is an interesting take. We support token-gated access on Paragraph but it hasn’t gotten as much usage as collectible content.

Curious if we can find other ways to use NFTs on Paragraph beyond just gated access, eg..

- receive newsletters earlier 
- commenting privileges 
- revenue share
- ??

Personally, I love the profit sharing opportunity. Gives way to the speculation market of believing in smaller creators before they get big, and rising with them

Yeah that’s fair! I wasn’t referring to subscription fees, I think that’s more what hypersub enables. 

More so like the zora first minter rewards that grant downstream profits for initial minting (believing in the creator = speculation potential) 

Could also see something like manifold share link generation

If I was gona charge a fee for someone to subscribe to my newsletter, I’d want them to pay because they want access to the content not because they want to speculate/gamble. 

Paragraph authors can already share profits or airdrop NFTs to wallets that collect their posts if they feel like doing so.

I think that’s a good start re hypersub, but it feels like there could be more… perhaps related to conversion and marketing into subscribers or purchasing? Ie bringing in social graph perks on top of in paragraph

Agreed, I’ve always found rev share appealing and uniquely enabled by web3.

How would you envision this working? Similar to hypersubs - eg early subscribers get a cut of future revenue from collectible content or membership NFTs?
