I see what you did there :) on a related note, many times I gave open problems to my students, without telling them how hard they are – this magically removes some of the pressure. Shame it never worked though

lol. I got through linear algebra then decided med school was the route and switched out of math into ochem — so Artem is about ten galaxies over from me math wise

One thing that bothers me is a lot of textbooks lie about the Calvin cycle. It says something like “rearrange the 6 phosphoglyceraldehydes into 3 ribulose biphosphate”. 

My o-chem isn’t great, but I know that makes no sense.

Can you explain to me why the last step of the Calvin cycle happens spontaneously?
