Wondering your thoughts on this? Ed. of 25 from my series CC0 Studies Sale Stats: 15 via Tips 7 via ETH 1 via sending degen manually Why’d art sales get grouped with low effort bullshit? Only ask b/c my perception is that degen has the potential to empower artists & thats where I’ve given my allo 27 days. 😂

Fair fair. My thoughts: >Good art is not low effort. >Selling art for $DEGEN is of course fine, if it's real $DEGEN and you're selling through appropriate channels (ie, /degen isn't the $degen enabled art market channel). >>Trading art for tips is the low effort problem<<

>>Trading art for tips is the low effort problem<< could you expand on that pleeease? do you mean the ones where they ask to go mint an artwork and reward the mintooor with tips? or do you mean for example me selling a 1/1 photo to a collector in exchange for his allowance as a tip under the photo?

To be clear, these are not Official Degen policies. Just my preferences: Any occasion where DEGEN POINTS are TRADED for ANYTHING, on or off chain, is profiteering and tip washing imo. A tip is NEVER a prearranged, quid-pro-quo trade for anything. A tip is NEVER a random, thanks for showing up gift.

ouch, okay. i don't plan to list any 1/1s for a while, but i will try to re-evaluate how i collect 1/1 art going fwd. i still think it empowers artists like me to be able to collect from artists, but i do see your point of how it can easily move towards tip washing.(ive already seen this). ty for keeping it real, wake.
