Allowance system is changing again. Who in the community are the DEGEN team listening to? Almost everyone I’ve talked to really likes the new allowance system. It’s not a good look to continue changing things so rapidly. It gives me major “we’re trying to fix the current downtrend in price” vibes. Did we really even give the new @openrank allowance system enough time to cook before deciding to try something else?

Depends on what Jacek replaces the system with. But I agree: it's a bad look to abandon the current regime for a "fix the price" gimmick. Unless J is getting feedback from OR that it /cannot/ cope with these smarty pants farmers, I'd keep it in place and try a hybrid approach. staking + openrank + manual checks

That's what I'm hoping for. I don't mind the mechanic of staking at all. I just hope it continues to include the current @openrank mechanics as well, because it seems to have dramatically improved the quality of content on Farcaster and discouraged a lot of the annoying behavior we saw last season.

My 2 cents: Staking: like /build, offer multiple options, reward longer staking periods. Introduce staking options ~4 days before the claim date. Add a staking multiplier to the next season's allowance. Bring back the blacklisted_fids and be unforgiving with a clear message. Keep OpenRank. Maintain 5m a day.
