see, I'm sophisticated enough to have an opinion on Elon that's separate from my opinion on SpaceX. I also understand that he isn't moving that cargo to space himself? Thought that was spaceships?

true, but a gentle one. was hoping you had a distinct opinion about each. but you're right, I don't know shit about space cargo logistics. and maybe that's why I can't reconcile musk now with musk a decade ago; I'm too focused on the man and not his spaceship business.

Fwiw I think it’s fine to weight his words, tweets and opinions highly. Thats a reasonable and logically consistent point of view. They don’t bother me because I don’t weight words, tweets and opinions highly in general. My view of Elon is the extraordinary progress of his companies are a result of him being involved at the micro level. I also think he’s significantly damaged his ability to affect change because of his personal beliefs and antics. But that’s his decision.
