If you lived in Almería, you wouldn’t care much either. There are times when it feels like the wind is blowing in every direction at once, like it’s hitting all three dimensions at the same time.

The coast of Almería, in southern Spain. This spring, we've had the worst wind season I've ever experienced. But we have the wind in our lives forever. Day after day. In one place, there's a west wind, in another, an east wind, while somewhere else there’s wind from the north or south. Everything in the same place. Along our coast, depending on the wind's direction, some beaches get more waves than others. But even the forecasts can't get it right. We also have what’s called the Foehn effect here, which means it almost never rains.
