Channel member migration plan

re, the coming channel changes and day one members:

what popular channels are /not/ moderated, if any?

So moderators will have to curate the channel when the changes are live, right?

not really. channels are permissioned. with the right people permitted to join, moderation isn't necessary. this change obsoletes in-channel content moderation; choose the right people instead.

But if any user who was liked by a mod (or mod-bot) will be auto-member to the "new" channel, it may happen that wrong people get  the membership. in that case, moderators will have to curate! 

I see it as a good solution to not start from 0…

no curation (ie, no manually managing that user's shitty content)

just remove the user from the channel. that's it. no curation needed.

definitely. 

by the term curation I was referring to manually removing unwanted users (who were previously accepted because they were previously liked by the bot).

yeah, thought so.

so then "curation" is a simple toggle. instead of removing the user's occasional shitty content each day, creating a lot of busy work... just remove the user. Ten steps reduced to one.
